I know it's been a long time. Sorry! My life's been really crazy, but when is it not. : ) Here are some pieces that I've been working on. I've been doing a lot more storyboards lately, so concept work, unfortunately, is happening a little slower. Maybe if I get a storyboard sequence that I actually like, I'll post a quicktime file of it up. We'll see... But I've got some really fun idea's that I'm working on for more concept work and I can't wait to start on them and post them up here. So I'll try and post more regularly, I know I say that all the time. Sorry! All of the images below are for a project for my BFA class at San Jose State University. They are inspired by the book Water for Elephants. I'm working on cleaning up the drawings a little more and painting the characters and the environments, so I'll post those up when I'm done too. Thanks for anyone who stops by. Happy Holidays! Take care!

New Update
Hey all, for anyone who actually looks at this site. : ) Sorry for the extremely long delay in posting. I've been so busy! But here are some projects I've been working on. I've been delving into storyboard over the past couple of months and its a TON! of work. I'm taking Kris's Pearn's storyboarding class on schoolism.com and Jeff B's story class at San Jose State. They are both a lot of fun!! I just need to get faster. Its really helping with my drawing ability as well, simply having to draw and figure out all the different poses and camera angles helps tremendously with drawing skills and viz dev work. Anyway, here's some new pieces. Thanks for anyone who comes to this site to look!
The story above was for Kris Pearn's storyboarding class on schoolism. It was the first introductory assignment and we had to come up with a story around 20 panels that showed who we are and where we come from. So I wanted to tell a story about my mom and me and how your relationship with your parents change and evolve throughout your childhood and into adulthood. So this ones for you mom! : ) Love ya!
The 9 panel storyboard above was for Jeff B's class at San Jose State. Each week he gives us one panel- the first panel is his drawing, with the caption bubble- and we have to fill in the other 8 panels with our own interpretation of the story. Its fun to see all the different ideas that people come up with.

These character designs are for a project that I am currently working on for my final semester at San Jose State. The story we are drawing our inspiration from is about a circus in the 1930's. These are my main characters, Marlena and her tiger.
The above image is a personal project that I've been working on in my spare time, which I wish I had more of...
This is a plein air landscape painting I did of place near brentwood. I need to work on my painting...sigh its so hard to find time for all you want to work...too much too do!

New stuff- I know about time!
I know...I know...its been forever. Sigh what can I say, I made no promises to begin with to be on top of things in regards to this blog.
I have been incredibly busy if that counts for anything, but probably not. Anyway, here's some stuff I've been working on and some projects I want to pick up again, now that I have a few days of free time coming up. So here goes:
This is a project I had to put on hold for awhile, that I want to try and pick back up. I want to paint some of my favorite ones and than develop bodies/poses that fit their personalities.
Some props to go in the schematic that I posted on a previous date, a long, long time ago...
A schematic of sorts for a dwelling, for a project I am working on currently.
A layout drawing and value study of part of the interior of the dwelling above.
Now I must get back to work so I can post some more stuff (probably in another month, cause I am horrible at this blog thing...). Take care to whoever ends up reading this far!

I'm working on this schematic, based on a themed project - "humans creating humans" - we are working on in my viz dev class. I have to work out the stalagmites in the front a little more and the glass "pods" growing out of them. I also have to fix several of my ellipses (thanks John!) : ) I'm going to do another schematic of the two walls in the front, in order to figure out the placement of everything. That’s for this weekend - which is almost here, YEAH!

A Couple More
UPDATE: just fixing the links
Here are a few drawings I was able to just rescan. I'm currently working on painting the houses. The kids, need to be completely redone. They are in a very rough/structured state, and I'll probably just start over and do some more variations and get into character more. But at least I'm posting something- lets see how long this daily routine lasts. Thanks again to anyone who stumbles upon this blog and stays long enough to finish this paragraph.

FINALLY!!
Alright I finally did it! I finally started my very own blog- it only took me years to kick my butt in to gear and do as Nike says "just do it." I don't know what took me so long, it wasn't as painful as I was expecting. I will try and keep this updated, but no promises. Ironically, I started this blog when I really have very little to show. My "lovely" external hard drive, that I stupidly decided to use as my primary hard drive died on me (all my reference photos and videos, projects, etc. gone!!!), I want to cry! So I'm crossing my fingers it can be saved, but for now I'll post some older work I've done in the past.
I did this photoshop painting for Bobby Chiu's digital painting class on "schoolism.com"- what a great site and opportunity to learn from working professionals, I couldn't recommend it more! Just as long as there is enough room in the new classes for me, otherwise back off people!! I'd still like to work on this piece- actually I'd like to start over, but sometimes you gotta to just let them go and start something new. : )
These characters were also for schoolism, for Stephen Silver's character design class. I did the rough and than clean up and than it fell apart, so I went back and structured them out a little more - thanks to Sheldon
Old, Old Old!! Just some quick animal drawings done from live studies turned cartoony
Ok, so thats about all that was salvaged from my cursed hard drive. More pieces are to come- some viz dev, paintings, layouts, etc. Thanks to anyone who even looks at this site. If you have any comments or questions feel free and thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
